I have tried cutting the header from a .chk firmware file for a v8 WGR614, putting it on to a micro dd-wrt file. Update board ID to match a v8. No success. So I will assume the tftp system on my router is, and always has been borked and there is no simple way to program this router with dd-wrt. For those looking for a complete list or search features by hardware specs we are working on extending the router database to provide these features. In the meantime there is the Supported Device List in the DD-WRT wiki that provides you most of these information. But please take care - everybody can edit the information there so we cannot I just bought e dead cheap Netgear WGR614 v7 router and was wondering if it would be possibel to load the Atheros version of dd-wrt onto it ? According to the Openwrt hardware list it has a Atheros AR2317 chip and 4MB of flash and 16MB of RAM. Initial flash of DD-WRT firmware is done though Netgear update GUI using a device specific .chk file If the firmware you are loading is before svn11600 then you will need to update the firmware using dd-wrt.v24-11604_WGR614v8-L_mini.bin first before upgrading to a newer build. I haven't seen anyone yet be able to flash a V7 with DD-WRT. The WGR614 is a pretty good router for the price.
